How we work with you
Our partnership is built on understanding. From our first meeting, we take the time to explore your individual financial and lifestyle aspirations. We follow a disciplined, seven-step process to create a personalised strategy, tailored for your individual needs.
Step 1: Defining the scope of engagement
In our first meeting we will introduce the Advice process that we will follow, find out and explore your needs and make sure that we can meet them. During this ‘Discovery Meeting’ we will demonstrate our experience to you as professional financial advisers and we will also explain our fee structure.
Step 2: Identifying your goals and assessing your financial situation
From there, we build on our understanding and work with you to identify your short and long term financial goals – this stage serves as a foundation for developing the plan and formulating our Advice recommendations.
Once we have identified your short and long term goals, we then take a strategic look at your position – your structures, your assets, liabilities, insurance coverage, your tax position and your existing estate planning arrangements.
Step 3: Advice Development
Having developed a deep understanding of the important issues that will shape your financial plan, (namely your goals, priorities, financial resources and attitude and behaviours towards risk), we then begin to develop your Advice recommendations by exploring a range of comprehensive strategies to help you achieve your goals. Portfolio construction in line with your strategic asset allocation forms part of this process.
Step 4: Advice Presentation
A meeting to present our strategic wealth management solutions and investment strategies to you and to organise and assist you with the associated paperwork to implement your recommended strategies.
Step 5: Implementing recommendations
Once you’re ready to go ahead, your financial plan will be put into action; where strategically required, we will work in tandem with your other professional advisers, such as your accountant, your solicitor or your personal banker.
Step 6: Ongoing Service
Each client will have an ongoing service plan particular to them, and their circumstances. Whether you need to see us more regularly, require active wealth management across structures, are going through a significant life event, or if you wish to have access to us as an Advisory Board – we will tailor your ongoing service.
Step 7: Review
Your circumstances, lifestyle and financial will change over time, so it’s important that your financial plan is regularly reviewed, to make sure to keep you on track – by adjusting and evolving your strategy to reflect these changes, but also importantly, to proactively manage economic, regulatory and legislative changes that directly impact you.
